It's Raining..
Yes, i know it has not rained as of now... but it may very soon (we all live in hope of absolution from this sweaty weather) and it is also time for my new season make-up trends prediction.
Colors for lips and eyes stay bright to ward off Monsoon greys. Blush is a must to appear healthy and not washed up. Here are my best buys (all waterproof) for the season:
Eyeliner: Try Lakme 9 to 5 eyeliner for a smoky look in jewel tones. (costs about 250 bucks) or Elle 18 liquid black for those more conservative. Jordana eye pencils are a good bargain too at 90 bucks.
Eyeshadow: Lakme 9 to 5 cream to powder eyeshadow is the only water-proof eyeshadow on the market that i know of. I have used the lavender and blush shades and like this product a lot for its ease of use. It is cream-based, comes in a pen-like body with a sponge tipped applicator. Once dry it turns to powder and will not budge. It is extremly convinent to carry in the purse for a quick change of look for a night out with friends as it is highly compact and leak-proof. Available in a wide range of colors.
Planning to buy coppertone next. Costs 350 Rs.
Blush: Lakme 9 to 5, Just been kissed cheek and lip tint is my choice here. I know this is beginning to look like a Lakme advert. but frankly after using tons of other cosmetics Lakme 9 to 5 is the only one that lasts the day. Besides this blush is really revolutionary in it's concept: Just Kissed Cheek and Lip Tint adds a pop of color to your cheeks and lips giving a freshly flushed look.

"The silky gel works into your skin and adapts to your complexion into the shade you blush naturally. Highlight your cheeks with a flush of color for that just-blushed look. Dab evenly on your lips for a berry-kissed look." - From lakme website.
M.R.P. : Rs. 210/- (got it for 190 at Alfa)
I believe that this thing actually reacts in someway with the skin causing the blood to rise up to your cheeks. Giving you the blush look.
Other than this you can also try red cheeks cream blush by NYX (Rs. 500) , or mousse by Maybelline (it has glitter)
Lips: Try a lip stain this monsoon. More resistant than lip-stick and less heavy than stay-on lip colors, lip stains are refreshing in shades of pink and red. They also appear lighter and stay on longer. Try Lip stains by Body Shop (but they are expensive). I prefer using my red cheeks cream blush on lips.
Those are some of my tips for monsoon. Do write in with your favorite products and predictions for this monsoon.
Till then, stay pretty, stay dry.
