Vogue India Beauty Awards 2010 - winners

Vogue India just held its first Indian Beauty Awards, and winners have been announced in each category. I read about this breaking news on An Indian's Makeup Blog

What I am very excited about is that Colorbar has made it to the best eyeliner list and so has Neutrogena in the sunblock category! I love both these products and feel that they totally deserve it. Below is the entire list of winners (source)

I like the fact that there are so many categories in lipsticks, for each color. But I also see that it is mostly dominated by foreign brands. There is no sign of Revlon or Maybelline.

So which of your favourites have made it to the list?

Comments

  1. actually I find the list rather juvenile, only between a handful of brands.

  2. U know i was just going to do this post..::)
but now u have done it so let me give my unimportant comments..:D

i am glad Shahnaz Kajal one..Mac studio fix powder is one of the best thing i got ..I am not rich enough to buy MAC goodies but this came out as an investment.

In my buying list will be

Loreal color pallate, Lancome mascara, Nude loreal lipstick..and eye cream too..and...lets forget it ..:D

i will try buying some of the stuff:P

  3. @Adorable: That is true.. but then India doesn't have a lot of brands to start with the first place, unlike US & Europe.

But I did feel that they could have included more "Indian" brands in a India list - but then it could also be a telling comment on the quality of stuff our companies make here, considering that only Lakme & Colorbar have made it..

There are no herbal indian brands (Forest essentials, biotique, himalaya, lotus, SH, Aromamagic) in skin care - tht to me is surprising.

@Anamika: Awww... I am so sorry! I guess u cld still do a post on this if you want to. I don't mind..

Pls, yr comments are never unimportant :P... I always look forward to them :)

Is Mac Studio Fix good for dry skin? I am wondering now if I should invest in one after finishing my Bourjois Healthy Mix.

I too started to a make a list soon after I read this.. :D :D.. but then I saw the prices & decided not to :P

  6. I use russian red by MAC and its a great color specially for fair skinned people, I wore it on my wedding also.
bourjois has a lip pencil(rogue) that is the same color as MAC russian red and if you wear clear gloss over it, the effect is exactly the same.

  8. well , what should I say ? Colorbar liners are my personal fav . but only 1 complain ,, they are SOOO creamy that they finish up in no time !!
    Nice post tho :)
I have been meaning to invest in MAC studio fix powder , after reading the list ..now I'm more determined than ever :D
Btw Tanny , MAC SF is good for controlling oil and great for oily skin .. even combination skin will like it but I'm skeptical about it working for dry skinned ladies :(
