Inglot BP Eye Lash Curler - Review
First of all, thank you so much for bearing with me while I was underground in the last few weeks. I just wasn't in the mood to write.
Moving on....
The Inglot BP Eye Lash Curler..
It claims: nada...
Price: Rs. 240/- for a single piece. An extra rubber pad has been provided for in the unit itself at the bottom.
Availability: in store or online at majorbrands.com
What I liked:
1. I have a morbid fear of the metal eyelash curler. It really looks like a medieval instrument of torture to me. And as I see it approaching my eyes, I can hear the soundtrack of "Psycho" playing in my head. Hence for the longest time I have relied on curling mascaras to do the trick. This is a god-sent for me. It doesn't scare me one bit, and it is very, very gentle. I suspect anyone else who has the same irrational fear as me can easily work with this.
2. It does curl eyelashes, at least it does curl mines. You just have to hold for 30 seconds at least.
3. A replacement pad is provided.
4. I love the price :-)
5. It is really tiny & shuts close to fit snugly into your kit/purse. Although I don't recommend curling lashes that already have dried mascara on them. They tend to be stiff and can break off.
What could be better:
1. A instruction paper with it would have been nice, it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to use it.
2. A bit of my eyemakeup always tends to transfer onto the plastic bit that rests on my top lid. Nothing major, but I don't like it.
3. I can't compare it with the metal ones. I really don't know if it is better or worse off. But the curl does droop off after 30 minutes. You want it to stay? Use a mascara pronto and use it from the underside of the lashes to as to not droop them down again.
4. It is very difficult to curl the lashes on the outer corner as the curve to this is very less.
Would I re-purchase: Do I have a choice? This is the only plastic curler I know of, and the other alternative is to walk around with uncurled lashes.

thanks review tanveer!I have always been intrigued by such eye lash curler my only concern has been..how is the grip/holding thing between thumb and fingers..are there any chances that it might slip while curling the lashes?
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome Giggle :D
DeleteThe grip is good, it has never slipped for me.. unless you have something oily on your fingers.
i like the metal ones..cant trust this..but stil am tempted by ur review
ReplyDeleteIf you are comfortable with the metal one, then don't get this :)
DeleteI love the fact that this is far more easy to carry around that the traditional ones ..
ReplyDeleteOhh yes, this is very easy to carry around in your kit :)
DeleteMy vega ine does a real nice job. but then, I am always scared of damaging my lashes.
ReplyDeleteThis one looks scary, but the idea od a non-metal sounds good.
Long time no see Tanveer
Actually this is not scary at all! It is very harmless :D
DeleteThough this looks non scary, but 30 seconds to hold eye lashes is quite much. The metal ones are supposed to be held for 10 secs is what an SA told me when I first bought my metal curler.
ReplyDeleteYes, the metal ones work faster and plus they can be heated also before use. This is no replacement for that... I'm just unable to use that so I make do with this :)
DeleteAaaand Good to see u back! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kejal! :)
DeleteAh! I like this loads....although my lashes stay curled for quite a while...lucky lashes i guess ;) and i hate the transfer on the plastic too...i have t clean it eveery single time and it gets irritating after a while..
ReplyDeleteI know!! Even I get irritated to keep cleaning it everytime :P
DeleteOoh, I'd love to check this out for sure!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it too Shivani :)
DeleteI'm scared of eyelash curlers too! I'm scared of MUAs using them on me. So using one myself is out of the question. But this one doesnt look all that scary. But it really should come with instructions!
ReplyDeleteThis one is not scary at all compared to the metal one! I think you shd be able to use this :)
DeleteI too don't like the thought of something metallic clamping shut so close to me eyes..so I do walk arnd wid uncurled lashes :P...this wld have been nice if it wldn't have given a better lasting power..30 mins is too less..
ReplyDeleteGreat review :)
I love the price too :D This curler looks so interesting, but it looks more scary than the metal ones I'm used to haha....
ReplyDelete♥xx♥
