Want Pretty Skin, but got no monies to spend? Or just a DIY bee are you? Here are some really quick moisturizers you can make at home. & really cheap too.

Only they may not feel as sophisticated as the lotion in the mall. But they are honest - to - goodness great for you.

Moisturiser for day/oily skin

Mix 100 ml rosewater with 20 ml glycerine, 10 drops jojoba oil & 1 drop lavender oil(highly nourishing oil). Mix well. Put in Spritzer. Shake & spray as desired.

Moisturizer for night/dry skin

Melt 2 spoonful of beeswax, add 1 spoon almond oil, 1 spoon jojoba oil, 1/2 & few drops of lemon oil (helps exfoliate dead skin). Mix well.

Take off heat and add hot water - 3/4th spoonful - drop by drop into the mixture above and whisk rapidly till water is incorporated.

Cool and refrigerate. Before use, take small amount in palm, rub between fingers to heat it and then apply on face.

  2. Hmmm.. seems like you have sensitive skin.. I am sure rosewater wld suit you as it is very mild. U can just apply some rosewater to soothe the skin..

What moisturizer were you using prior to Morning Nectar? maybe you cld just switch to that.

It does happen sometimes that you react to the ingredients in a lotion (esp something like Biotique that is made up of natural extracts).. So using natural products is a matter of trial & error as all may not suit you. I break out that way with Lakme moisturizers.

I hope you feel better soon. TC.

  3. yup...no problems with rose water..but ive never tried it as a moisturizer(always used in face-packs),any gud brands of rose water for dry skin?mine is dry-sensitive, will it give enuf moisture. However..il try it too. Earlier..Ive used Himalaya herbals face moisturizing lotion..its nice in terms of acne, but darkened my skin by 2 shades..so i have to drop it..
read some reviews abt MorningNectar and tried it..got acne/rash within week..haha..
anyways..im thinking of to try Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer..but u said uve broke-out..?? my cousin had the same sensitive skin, n she said that it was gud....ooh boy..im confused now.. :(

  4. I breakout when using Lakme because I am sensitive to mineral oil. Doesn't suit me at all. So any moisturizer with mineral oil does not suit me... That does not mean it will not suit you, by all means go ahead & try it...
