Jordana Nail Paint in Silver Glitter

It claims:
Jordana #208 Silver Glitter Nail Polish
• Neons, Shimmers, Glitters & Cremes
• Bold, Fashionable, Spectacular Color Range
• Contains Natural Pearl for Improved Application, Wearability & Luster
• Salon Formula
• Made In USA

Price: Rs. 169 for 15 ml bottle (I got a 20% off on this from New Beauty Centre)

What I liked:

1. I bought this nail paint a little before Karwa Chauth as it seemed like a very festive color. And it is! Because it is silver, it is pretty much neutral and goes well with a lot of desi dresses. But it also really jazzes up a simple top & jeans. The glitter shimmers and sparkles so beautifully and doesn't lose sheen over days.

2. Lasts pretty long. It stayed on my nails without dulling or chipping for 4 days. Also it didn't pick up colors from food (sometimes pale nail paints tend to get stained by haldi while cooking / eating - this one didn't.)

3. Cheap, and the Big 3 free!

What could be better:

1. Taking this off is a big, big pain. It won't come off with acetone. In fact the acetone merely removes the transparent bits of nail polish leaving the glittered adhered even more strongly to the nail. I often have to peel this off to remove it. Or else dunk my finger tips in acetone for 2-3 minutes before it starts to loosen up.

2. While the glitters are present abundantly in the paint, a single coat will give you spartan application. In the images here I have 3-4 heavy coats of the nail paint.

3. Availability of Jordana is a bit of an issue.

Would I re-purchase: I absolutely love these glitter nail paints. They are priced decently, the quality is good. I would definitely pick up a few more different colors, provided I can find them :-p

  6. I'm not a big fan of glitter polishes, but the loveliness of the color makes me rethink. May be I would now try to find a dupe and top it on various colors!
