How to use:  The site says: Apply 2-3 drops on cleansed skin. Gently press fingertips to cheeks, forehead, and chin to evenly distribute the application before gently massaging it into the skin. Can be worn alone or under moisturizer, but the SA in the store said that this had to applied last at night, on top of of everything else. She said one should take a few drops in your palm, and just dab them all over the face, without rubbing it in.

What I liked:

      1. This is a blend of essential oils & based on aromatherapy. I started to use this during a period when I was suffering from insomnia. The frangrance of lavender in this oil is so soothing that it cured my insomnia almost instantly. The day I would use it, I’d sleep like a baby. The day I skipped it I would go back to tossing & turning. However it is not addictive, my insomnia was caused by stress and once I was stress – free, I could go to sleep without this.

     2.  It did make my skin look all glowy in the morning, it appeared smoother and fresher.

     3. It also helped reduce oiliness in my skin, but at the same time my skin never felt dry. Skin felt soft and supple.

     4. The texture is very light and totally non – oily. It absorbs instantly and quickly.  It is also colorless and doesn't stain the skin or clothes.

     5. You need just 2-3 drops for the entire face. So the bottle itself would last a good 6 to 8 months. The dropper provided does make it easy to take only the required amount and no more.

What could be better:

    1. I felt the regenerative effects on the skin were temporary. If I didn’t use this for 2 or more nights, my skin went back to looking how it did earlier.

    2. It is quite expensive when compared to other drugstore anti aging products.

    3. I find it quite cumbersome that this has to be layered on top of your night cream or serum – in a dab, dab fashion. I wish this could be just blended into the cream itself right before application.

    4. The packaging is unsuitable for travel – it is a glass bottle.

Would I repurchase: No, I don’t think I will. It doesn’t seem to benefit the skin in the long term and the effects seem very temporary (lasting only a day or two at maximum). For something like that it is just priced too high. To be honest it does deliver on all the claims that it makes, but the improvement is very transient. Stop using this for a week, and skin quickly reverses to its original state.

Comments

  1. I have wanted to try this for a long time now. I did get a sample a while back, but decided not to purchase it because I thought it was just another step in the skin care. I am right now using Lancome Genefique - while it does bright up my face, I think it may be too much for my skin at this point in my life. But I am super paranoid about premature aging.
Meh, the world of skin care, I wish it was less confusing and expensive.

    1. I agree Shivani! I have been wondering about the efficacy of these anti-aging lotions & their prices. I sometimes wonder if it would be better to visit a dermatologist and get pharmacy products like retin - a which are proven to be effective, the effects last long - term & will def be cheaper than these serums..

  2. I like this product, but I agree that the effect is temporary. Either ways, it makes me feel good so I might just continue with it- just for kicks. Unless you recommend something better for the night. :-)

    1. Ha Ha! I also have 3/4ths of the bottle to go through, so I'm also gonna be using it for a while. But I think at this price, it would be quite easy to find something better for nighttime skin care :)

  3. I'm with you on the temporary effect from using this one. I really like it and some days the smell did bother me but then again, I never used it with a night cream, just on it's own. It's an ok product, maybe good for brides to use pre-wedding n all..

    1. Yes, Appu - it's okay. Maybe right before those important functions. I like how calm I feel when I use this. Otherwise my mind finds it difficult to calm down to go to sleep at night. That I would say was the biggest benefit of the product for me.

  4. For something which provides just temporary solution, the price attached is completely wrong. Seriously, the price of anti-aging stuffs are sky high compared to other skin care stuffs but their efficiency is not guaranteed with the price.

    1. Kiehl's has a generous sample policy, so you cld get one from their store to try it out for a week or two. It may work for you :)

  9. so expensive n not long lasting :( that's bad!!! btw, loved the part that it cured the insomnia...currently having some issues so I will give lavender EO a try :)
but, then, thinking about things, which product has long lasting effects??? I have tried some serums which definitely keep my skin in good way for like a month or two but after that. its effects also wear off na!! ok, two months is def better than two nights.

    1. I know!! I also love it for that reason only - I always sleep very well when I use this. I have tried using pure Lavender EO but haven't got the same results so I think it may have something to do with the blend of EOs it has rather than just Lavender EO.

I agree with you that most products don't have long lasting effects. I am just disappointed with this prdt more because it cost me upto 3 grand, and I really expected it to work, on a long term basis. In that money I cld have got 4 Body shop creams :)

  10. Tanveer...i really didnt like this product. The Lavender and Evening Primrose oil scared me for my clogged pores and the formula is like applying oil on the skin. I would consider this one for winters though as I broke out badly when I used it in summers.
Totally agree with you for the fact that results are not long term!
I would suggest you to try Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance cream in case u r planning to buy in the same budget and if ur skin can take it!
