MAC Amplified Creme Cosmo Lipstick - Review

What I liked: 

1. It smells of vanilla - like your typical MAC lipsticks :-)

2. Permanent range. (Yes, I'm running out of good things to say about this lipstick)


What I didn't like: 

MAC Cosmo Lipstick

1. The finish. I just hate the overly creamy texture of this lipstick. It keeps sliding and moving all over and somehow it just looks weird. It needs to be blotted if you are gonna apply lip gloss on top - or else it looks quite messy.

2. The color is a bit terrible on me. It is not soft enough to go with a smoky eye - it just sits there on the lips like a stark pink, and it is not strong enough to be worn by itself. It has this weird dark reddish mauve undertones (and no brown on me), it pretty much makes my eyes look duller and skin blotchy. And the formula just makes it worse. I have tried this many ways - blotted, with gloss (looks worse). This is going B2M full.

Overall: I don't like this lipstick color & neither do I like the finish. I guess I'm more of a satin or matt finish gal. The color is a dark red mauve, which is not a good color on me. I would have liked this to be more pink and less mauve. It is too dark and at the same time, dull. Admittedly I did try this at the store, before purchasing. So can't really blame anyone but myself. I shouldn't let hype carry me away when making decisions.
